The Beauty Chef is a global brand headquartered in Australia that sells premium clean and organic wellness and beauty products for gut and skin health, with the philosophy, that beauty begins in the gut. Built By Blank created an experiential website that connects deeply to their defined customer persona.
The Challenge
The Beauty Chef has a high-priced product that is built for a specific customer profile. Their products are award-winning probiotic wholefoods powders and elixirs that are bio-fermented. The challenge was to educate their customers about the research and science behind the products and their effectiveness.

The team created a very specific customer persona for The Beauty Chef – Who is she? What are her motivations? What are her frustrations? What are her hobbies? By getting to know her well, the team was able to design a cleanly designed aesthetic
that spoke to her and kept her coming back to the site for more.

One of the aspects of The Beauty Chef’s customer persona is that she has a very discerning taste, cares about her personal well-being and is extremely loyal. Once she is convinced about the benefits of a product, she will stay with it. We built out the Loyalty Program to reward her for this valued trait.
Subscribe & Save
For the loyal customer who is in love with the brand and wants a regular supply to keep her gut healthy, we developed a subscription feature.
Mini Cart
Mini Carts have become an essential feature of eCommerce stores. They let users view their selected items without navigating away from the page they are on. Mini Cart was added to the site for an enhanced and smoother UX.
Account Setup
We enabled an easy-to-use account setup feature on the site. This feature allows users to quickly create an account using just their email address.
Reviews
We wanted to give her all the information she needs to research the product, along with an easy way to see what others are saying about it before she decides to make the purchase. The reviews are featured prominently on the product detail page in as easy to read format, along with a list of FAQs.
Afterpay & PayPal Integration
We added payment methods like PayPal and AfterPay to the website. The AfterPay implementation makes it easier for users to buy higher-priced items on the site.
Social Media Integration
We added a dynamic Social Media feed to the site for some movement and fun. By targeting The Beauty Chef’s customer persona precisely and building a website that spoke directly to her, creating an emotional connection; The Beauty Chef was able to increase their engagement levels and as result, their sales.
