Lindora has been at the forefront of the healthy lifestyle movement since it began its weight loss clinics in Southern California in the early 70’s. They have since expanded their product line to nutritional ketogenic protein bars, protein shakes, healthy meal plans and supplements. They are committed to helping people make better food choices and improving overall nutrition to live their best, healthiest lives.
The Challenge
Lindora traditionally marketed their nutritional line of products to their weight loss clientele but wanted to expand their audience online to capture the healthy living audience. The healthy living space however is very crowded, and they needed to define their positioning and customer profile properly.
The Solution
Our Built By Blank team used their proprietary approach to analyze existing data and perform primary and secondary data research. They then used this data to create specific customer personas and narrowly define Lindora’s customer segmentation within the broader health and wellness category. After defining a precise brand positioning for Lindora, the content creation team executed photography and copy to drive more traffic and sales.
Selecting a platform
The Built by Blank team chose Shopify Plus to create an e-commerce website that was both beautiful to look at and easy to navigate. We selected Shopify Plus and Shogun after learning about the client’s needs and how flexible they wanted the structure to be. Shopify Plus was an obvious choice, with their premier security features, reliability, and all-inclusive server costs.
Search Engine Optimization
First, the team did in-depth competitive keyword research to optimize SEO, implementing meta tags and open graph tags for Facebook and other social media platforms. Title tags were created based on the targeted keyword list, and the team wrote SEO-optimized copy that would capture Lindora’s branding. This web content structure was optimized for keywords, as per Google’s guidelines.
We also ensured that all existing SEO data was migrated from the previous site and proper redirects were set up to minimize ranking loss of pages.
Custom Shopify Store – Features
Research-based Product Categorization Schema
We created a specific product categorization schema based on our research to capture the intent of each customer persona. Customers can shop by Product, by Goal, by Plan, or for Protein Snacks, Healthy Meals, or Keto Living. Structuring the schema in this manner channels each audience type into a very specific product offering, helping to gain more checkouts and higher order values.
Subscription
Lindora introduced a recurring option for end-users to subscribe to products on flexible intervals, leading to more predictable and adherent sales.
Quiz Ability
Our team built out a quiz for suggestive product placement based on user selections. We calculated users’ BMIs and employed conditional logic to recommend specific products, which lead to higher conversions.
Shogun Pages
Building interactive pages using the Shogun Page Builder gave the Lindora team more admin control on the layout, and allowed them the flexibility to easily refresh different sections on the site.
Custom Product Pages with Appealing Design
The Built team created product pages specially designed with the brand’s aesthetics in mind and A/B tested to optimize for their target customer persona.
Reviews
We designed and developed the reviews sections for Lindora Nutrition’s product pages using a third-party tool, along with customized coding.
Klaviyo Integration for Marketing
The Built By Blank team set up the Klaviyo marketing tool for effective email capture across the website. This also helped with user onboarding before the Brand’s launch.
Minicart
We added a mini cart to the site which helps users easily access their cart and adjust items without navigating away from the shopping experience.
Accessibility and User Privacy Compliance
The team ensured the site met ADA WCAG 2.1 Accessibility Compliance and User Privacy Compliance for CCPA, GDPR, PCI.
