About

Wittmore is a Los Angeles based brand focusing on clothing, accessories, grooming supplies and gifts from brands with global standards. In addition to these, this eCommerce business also sells tech accessories wireless chargers, airpods cases, USB Cables, etc. Wittmore hired Built By Blank for their Shopify launch.

Los Angeles based Blank & Co designed the site while Built By Blank developed the site using Shopify themes and templates.

Selecting a Platform – Shopify vs Magento vs WordPress

We analysed all three popular eCommerce platforms – Shopify, Magento & WordPress. Since Wittmore was a multi brand store with different types of products we needed a platform with ability to handle varied products under one store. Subsequently, we realised that Shopify was best able to handle a multi-product eCommerce store. With Shopify, maintaining customer records also becomes easier. We used the Advanced Shopify Plan to create the Wittmore store with minimal transaction fees.

Shopify Launch – Key Features

Notepad Blog

We added a Notepad blog to the site. This section shows really interesting articles involving Wittmore. In addition, the Blog section gives an overview of Wittmore Products.

Gift Cards

We added in a function to purchase gift cards to the site. So now users can buy Wittmore gift cards for their family and friends.

Locations based on Google Maps

Some customers prefer buying offline. Hence we integrated Google Maps with the site, to allow users to find Wittmore stores in Los Angeles.

Affiliate Registration

Wittmore also wanted affiliate partners to help them sell their products for a commission. So, we designed and added a registration form on the website for users to sign up to become a part of the Wittmore Affiliate program.

Press

Selling fashionable goods requires some good PR. So, we added in a Press section that includes Wittmore Press mentions from known media like like Angeleno, personal shopper, etc.

Mini Cart

Also, we added in a mini cart to let customers add their items and easily view them later.

Email Subscriptions

The brand wanted to be able to inform its customers about product launches and deals. Therefore, we added the option to subscribe to get the latest updates from Wittmore.

Social Media Integration

We integrated social media like Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter etc to the product details page. This was done to let users share products they like with their friends.

Payment Integration

We added Paypal and other convenient payment methods on the site.

With the Shopify Launch of Wittmore’s site, its brand value and sales increased considerably. Moreover, the visibility of Wittmore in the eCommerce market showed a substantial surge.
